This set of Meissen teacups and saucers are decorated with hand painted flowers, dated oearly 20th century. Each set has a unique design.All pieces are in excellent shape with no chips, hair line fractures or scratches. There is no paint loss or gold fading!! The teacup and saucer feature scalloped rims decorated with gold gilt trims and hand painted flowers over white porcelain.
All pieces show the original FIRST class (no slashes through the crossed swords)Meissen blue under-glaze cross-swords logo accompanied by inscribed numbers. The Meissen cross-swords shown at the bottom are the mark that appeared from 1934to 1945 and helped dating the pieces. Meissen porcelain was started in Dresden, Germany in 1709 to produce the first European hard-paste porcelain at high temperature.Its crossed-swords logo was introduced in 1720 and evolved during different periods. Over 300 years of existence, Meissen is known for high quality and originality till today.
Cup: 4" diameter (or 4 ¾", with handle) x 2" high x 1 ¾" base diameter. Saucer:5 ¾" diameter x 7/8" high x 2 ¾ base. This is a gorgeous set in an incredibly great condition!
